I Dream a Borderless World

I started prepping visa applications. This would be the first time I have to coordinate the timing and get all visas for each of the three countries. Because of my citizenship and the passport from the "Red" Commie China, I am not welcome at probably 95% of the world without ton of paperwork proving myself clean, free of crime and ill intentions. The end goal would be getting a visa stamp to pass through airport security. On the one hand, having a passport full of stamps from all the places I've been leaves me a cool memory to dwell on later; on the other hand, it really sucks to frantically type all the same information on pretty much the same forms from different embassies. Chilean embassy asks me to fill two forms, one for visa request, one for tourist application. Both asked my father's full name and my mother's full name. I also need to declare my eye color, hair color, height, and the color of my complexion. What is that? I debate between putting white vs. yellow. I am not technically yellow but by race I guess so. Then the last one is "is there any particular feature?" (... that will distinguish me from any other well behaving citizens???) I put an N/A for that one even though I do have two moles on my face. Nah... they wouldn't care...

I dream of a day that the world would be truly borderless for the wanderers to roam around free. Wouldn't that be really nice?

South America Finally!!!

Two years ago in January, I was planning a trip to South America then changed my mind and went to Egypt and Jordan instead. It was a great choice but at the back of my mind, SA is still on my top priority list. Last week, I finally book the flights for Mike and me. We will be going to Argentina, Chile and Brazil for about two weeks in October.

Planning formally starts now.
